Packet Tracer Freezing or Unresponsive During Labs
Lately, my Cisco Packet Tracer keeps freezing up mid-lab, especially when adding devices or running complex sims. It's the latest version on Windows, and my PC specs are decent. Happens more with bigger topologies – is there a way to optimize or fix this without downgrading?

Freezes are super annoying, but common with resource-heavy setups. Close other apps, and in PT preferences, bump up the allocated RAM if available, or switch to a lighter theme. Also, save often and use "Reset Activity" sparingly. I fixed mine by updating Java (since PT relies on it indirectly) and running as admin. If it's persistent, try the Mac/Linux version via VM – sometimes Windows builds are buggier. Hang in there; it's usually a quick tweak!
