Visual Connection Errors in Packet Tracer Even When Network Works
So, I've got this fully configured network in Packet Tracer – routes are set, pings go through fine in realtime mode – but when I switch to simulation, it shows these weird visual errors like packets dropping or no communication lines. It's driving me nuts because the actual functionality is there. Is this a bug in the latest version, or am I doing something wrong with the filters?

Admin Answer

Totally get the frustration; it's often a simulation mode quirk. Jump into simulation, hit "Edit Filters," and toggle to show all or select specific protocols like ICMP or whatever you're testing. Sometimes the default hides stuff. If you've got the newest Packet Tracer, uninstall and grab it fresh from the official site – older installs can glitch. In my experience, enabling all filters and restarting the sim clears it up 90% of the time.
